Creative Library
Upload your creative assets and browse them in a gallery or a table.
At a glance
- Where in Orbit
- Sidebar › Workspace › Creative Library
- Who can use it
- Agency Owners and Admins upload, browse, archive and re-scan assets. Clients can view and upload their own assets in their portal.
What it’s for
The Creative Library stores each client’s video and image files. Orbit processes every upload: it reads the file’s size and format, and checks it against The Trade Desk’s placement sizes.
Each asset belongs to the client you pick when uploading, and can also be tied to one of that client’s media plans. Browse by category chip, search, and switch between Gallery and Table views.
Clients see their own library in their portal, where Creative Library is switched on by default. They can view and upload, but not archive or re-scan.
Assets can’t be deleted, renamed, retagged or downloaded from the library. Archive what you no longer need.

Can I upload several files at once?
Yes. Drop or choose several and they upload one after another. If one fails, the files after it aren’t uploaded.

Can I download the original file?
No. The library has no download button.
Can I bring files in from cloud storage?
No. Upload files from your computer. Storage link isn’t available yet.
Why can I only see 60 assets?
Each view shows the newest 60 assets and has no more pages. Pick a client or a category chip, or search, to find older ones.
Find an asset in the Creative LibraryWhat you can upload, and the library’s limits
What does Creative Library search look at?
Asset names and file names, tags, spec names, categories, and the words “video” and “image”.
What’s the difference between Gallery and Table view?
Gallery shows thumbnails with format, size, tags and spec results. Table lists Asset, Type, Size, Dimensions, Plan eligibility and Status in columns.
Why is my asset Unsorted?
It failed processing, still needs review, fits no TTD placement, or doesn’t fit a channel its linked plan buys. Open it to see its spec check.

How does Orbit decide between CTV Launch, OLV and Display?
By the file’s exact size and codec. A 1920×1080 H.264 video goes in CTV Launch, other videos that fit an OLV size go in OLV, and images that fit a display size go in Display.
Which Trade Desk sizes does the spec check know?
CTV at 1920×1080 in H.264; OLV at 1920×1080, 1280×720, 1080×1080 or 1080×1920; and display at 300×250, 300×600, 160×600, 970×250, 320×50 and 728×90.
What do Eligible and Check mean in the spec check?
Eligible means the asset matches that TTD placement. Check means its size matches but something else doesn’t, such as the video codec.

What does Re-scan do?
It processes the file again, including its size, format and spec check. The drawer closes without a message, and the card updates when it’s done.
How long does processing take?
Orbit doesn’t give a time. While anything is processing, the library checks every few seconds and updates the cards on its own.
Can my clients see the Creative Library?
Yes, unless you’ve switched it off for them. It’s on in every client’s portal by default, and they see all their own assets, archived ones included. Switch it per client in Settings › Client Navigation.

Can clients upload creative?
Yes. Clients can upload to their own library from their portal, and their uploads carry a “client” badge.
Can clients archive or re-scan assets?
No. Clients can view and upload only. Archive and re-scan are for your agency.
How it works
Limits: What you can upload, and the library’s limits
Upload MP4 or MOV video up to 512 MB, and JPG, PNG, GIF or WEBP images up to 25 MB. Each upload belongs to one client.
| Kind | Formats | Largest file |
|---|---|---|
| Video | MP4, MOV | 512 MB |
| Image | JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP | 25 MB |
- Pick a client before uploading. You can’t upload while the client menu says All clients, unless your agency has only one client.
- You can tie an asset to one of the client’s media plans only while uploading. It can’t be changed afterwards.
- You can drop or choose several files at once. They upload one after another, and an error stops the files after it.
- Each view shows the newest 60 assets, with no further pages. Narrow it with the client menu, a category chip or search.
- Assets can’t be deleted, renamed, retagged or downloaded in the library. Archive what you don’t need.
Explainer: The platform spec check
Orbit checks each asset’s exact pixel size against The Trade Desk’s placement specs. A fit shows as Eligible, or as Check when the size fits but something else, such as the video codec, doesn’t.
| Spec | Kind | Sizes |
|---|---|---|
| TTD CTV | Video | 1920×1080, H.264 |
| TTD OLV | Video | 1920×1080 or 1280×720 |
| TTD OLV-Sq | Video | 1080×1080 |
| TTD OLV 9:16 | Video | 1080×1920 |
| TTD Display | Image | 300×250, 300×600, 160×600, 970×250, 320×50 |
| TTD Disp-LB | Image | 728×90 |
- Sizes must match exactly. A 1920×1080 H.264 video fits both TTD CTV and TTD OLV, and goes in the CTV Launch category.
- File size and video length aren’t part of the check.
- If an asset fits none of the specs, its drawer says it “Doesn’t fit any TTD placement”.
- Open an asset to see its check under Platform spec check, with the reasons for any Check.
Explainer: Who sees the Creative Library
Agency Owners and Admins see every client’s library. Each client sees only their own, in their portal, while Creative Library is switched on for them.
| Action | Agency Owner and Admin | Client |
|---|---|---|
| See assets | Every client’s | Their own, archived ones included |
| Upload | Yes | Yes |
| Archive and restore | Yes | No |
| Re-scan | Yes | No |
- Creative Library is switched on in every client’s portal by default. Switch it off for a client in Settings › Client Navigation.
- Assets a client uploads carry a “client” badge.
- A client contact with more than one client switches between them. The portal has no All clients option.
