Fix an empty Dashboard card

4 stepsUpdated 13 Oct 2026

An empty card says what’s missing and links to the fix. Follow its link; the message changes as your setup moves on.

Before you start

Who can do this
Anyone at your agency. Adding clients, connecting platforms and mapping accounts need an Owner or Admin.

Steps

Tick a step’s number when it’s done. We’ll remember where you were.

  1. Open Dashboard and read the message on the empty card, such as “Map your ad accounts to clients”.

  2. Press the link under it, such as .

  3. Finish that step, then come back to the Dashboard.

  4. If the card says “No data in this date range”, pick a wider range such as 90d.

When it worked

The card fills with figures once data for the range has synced.

If something goes wrong

  • Orbit showsFirst sync is running — data appears shortly

Let it finish. Press View sync status → to follow it in Integrations.

  • Orbit showsNo data has synced yet

Press Check sync status →. Make sure the connection’s accounts are chosen and each has a client.

  • Every connection is Synced but a card is still empty.

Check Account Mapping for unmapped accounts, and check the platform is one that syncs to reports. Data from unmapped accounts appears nowhere.

  • Orbit showsNo insights generated yet for this period.

No active insights fall in this range. Pick a wider range, or press Open AI Insights →.

How it works

Explainer: Why a Dashboard card is empty

An empty card says what’s missing and links to the fix. The message follows how far your agency’s setup has got.

  • Adding a client, connecting a platform and mapping accounts need an Owner or Admin. Others who follow those links see a message asking them to ask one.
  • If the whole page fails, you see “We couldn't load this page”. Press Try again; if it keeps happening, send support the reference shown.

Explainer: The setup checklist

Until your agency has finished setting up, the Dashboard shows a strip such as “Setup · 2 of 4” with four steps. It disappears once all four are done; there’s no way to dismiss it sooner.

The four setup steps
StepDone whenWho can do it
Add a clientAt least one client exists.Owner or Admin
Connect a platformAt least one connection exists.Owner or Admin
Map ad accountsAt least one account is mapped and none are unmapped.Owner or Admin
First syncAny performance data has synced, for any date.Happens on its own
  • Each step shows its status, such as “No clients yet”, “3 unmapped” or “Sync in progress”. The next step to do is highlighted.
  • Select a step to go to where you do it.
  • One unmapped account keeps Map ad accounts open, even when the rest are mapped.
  • The Welcome! banner below it offers the same first steps. Collapse it with its chevron; Orbit remembers that in each browser.

Explainer: When data is missing but nothing failed

A connection can be healthy and still send nothing to a client’s dashboard. Usually an account isn’t chosen, has no client, or comes from a platform that doesn’t sync to reports yet.

  • Needs accounts: the connection has no accounts chosen, so Orbit skips it. Press Finish setup → and choose them.
  • Needs clients: it syncs, but some accounts have no client, so their data reaches no dashboard, report or Data chat answer. Assign them in Account Mapping.
  • The platform doesn’t sync to reports yet. Only platforms marked Syncs to reports do.
  • The account was assigned recently, so only recent days have filled in. Earlier days follow as Orbit re-syncs them.
  • A teammate can’t see the client at all. Check their Client Access in Team.
