Steps

Tick a step’s number when it’s done. We’ll remember where you were.

  1. Open the menu under your name, choose Profile and find the card on the Overview tab.

  2. Tick Let me talk to my board.

  3. If you like, tick Read my brief aloud when I open the board, and pick a Voice and Speed.

  4. Press Preview to hear your latest brief in that voice.

  5. On your Mission Control board, hold Space while you talk, then let go.

When it worked

Preview reads your brief aloud, and your board answers when you let go of Space.

If something goes wrong

  • Orbit showsNo brief to read yet

Your first brief hasn’t run yet. Try again after your morning loop has run.

  • The voice options are greyed out.

Tick Let me talk to my board first.

  • Holding Space doesn’t start voice.

Click outside any text box first. Space is ignored while you’re typing.

  • You asked voice to approve something.

Voice can’t approve anything. It stages the item, and you confirm with a tap.

  • You can’t see the Voice card.

It shows only where Orbit has switched on Mission Control for your agency.

How it works

Explainer: Voice settings for Mission Control

Voice lets you ask your Mission Control board a question out loud and have your brief read to you. It’s off until you turn it on, and it can never approve anything.

  • Each setting saves when you change it.
  • Preview reads your latest brief aloud. Before your first brief, it says “No brief to read yet”.
  • Answers come from the board your morning loop already worked out.
  • “Voice cannot approve anything. Anything that moves money needs your tap — there is no spoken path to it.”
  • Space is ignored while you’re typing in a box.

Explainer: The morning loop: when your brief runs

On weekday mornings, Orbit’s agents refresh what they can see, rank the three things that matter most and hold anything that needs your tap, ready on your Mission Control board. You choose whether it runs and at what hour.

  • Orbit creates your schedule once you have a Mission Control seat and Gmail or Google Calendar connected. It starts on, at 07:00.
  • It runs Monday to Friday. You can pick 05:00, 06:00, 07:00 or 08:00.
  • The card shows when it runs next and when it last ran.
  • If a scheduled run fails, Orbit tries it once more.
  • Turning it off stops it until you turn it back on.
  • It reads as you, and only for your own board.
  • Your seat follows your Specialty Role in Team. An Agency Owner or Admin sets that.
