Give a teammate a Mission Control board
A board follows a person’s Specialty Role. An Owner or Admin sets it in Team, and Mission Control shows that specialty’s board.

Steps
Tick a step’s number when it’s done. We’ll remember where you were.
In the sidebar, open Team.
Find the teammate and open their cell.
Choose a specialty with a board: Executive, Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, Analytics, Account Manager or Strategy.
Ask them to open . Their seat shows under the greeting, such as “Analytics seat”.
When it worked
Their board opens with the seat’s name under the greeting, such as “Paid Search & Social seat”.
If something goes wrong
Orbit showsNo board is set up for your specialty yet. A seat follows from the Specialty an admin sets against you in Settings → Team; Creative and Other have no board built for them at this stage, so there is nothing an admin can switch on for those two today.
Their specialty is Creative or Other, or they have none. Choose a specialty with a board.
Mission Control isn’t in the sidebar.
Orbit switches Mission Control on per agency, and your agency can’t turn it on itself. If no one at your agency sees it, contact Orbit.
An Admin got a different board from the one you expected.
Specialty wins over System Role. An Admin with Analytics gets the Analytics board; an Owner or Admin with no matching specialty gets Executive.
How it works
Explainer: Seats and the board each one gets
Your seat decides your Mission Control board: its north star, its telemetry and its ops jobs. It comes from the Specialty Role an Owner or Admin sets for you in Team.
The north star below is what a seat shows when no goal is set for it. Once an Owner or Admin sets a north star goal in Goals, the tile shows that KPI against its target instead.
Board figures run up to today and are worked out when you open the page. “30 days” on the board means the 31 calendar days from 30 days ago through today.
| Seat | North star | Telemetry |
|---|---|---|
| Executive | Booked revenue: budgets of active plans that are Approved or Live | Managed spend MTD, Managed spend 30d, Pipeline |
| Account Mgmt | Book health: the share of your clients with a pacing target running today | Clients on plan, Threads awaiting reply, Media plans this month |
| Paid Search & Social | Blended CPA: spend ÷ conversions, paid search and paid social only | Blended CPA, Worst account CPA, Conversions 30d |
| Programmatic | Delivery to plan: spend against flight total, target 100% | Spend delivered, Flight total, Average CPM |
| Analytics | Data trust: the share of connectors whose latest sync finished in the last 24 hours | Connectors healthy, Rows ingested 24h, MMM model fit |
| Strategy | Plans in flight: Pending Approval, Approved and Live | Plans approved, Planned budget, Avg turnaround |
- Paid Search and Paid Social both get the Paid Search & Social seat. An Owner or Admin with no matching specialty gets Executive.
- Specialty wins over System Role, so an Admin whose specialty is Analytics gets the Analytics board.
- Creative and Other have no board yet, and nor does a Manager or Specialist with no specialty. They see “No board is set up for your specialty yet.”
- You can’t choose your own seat. Ask an Owner or Admin to change your Specialty Role in Team.
- Goals marked Show on Mission Control are added to the top of Telemetry.
- The footer shows your seat and your reach, such as “Scope · 4 assigned clients”. Every figure narrows to those clients.
Explainer: Specialty Role: what it changes
A Specialty Role names the work someone does, such as Paid Search or Strategy. It doesn’t change what they’re allowed to do. It can decide which clients they see, and which Mission Control board they get.
Client Access can show someone every client with the service that matches their specialty, for example All Paid Search clients. Specialties with no matching service can’t use that option, so assign their clients one by one.
Mission Control is switched on for some agencies only. Where it is, the board follows the specialty. An Owner or Admin whose specialty has no board sees the Executive board.
| Specialty Role | Client service it matches | Mission Control board |
|---|---|---|
| Executive | None | Executive |
| Paid Search | PPC | Paid Search & Social |
| Paid Social | Paid Social | Paid Search & Social |
| Programmatic | Programmatic | Programmatic |
| Account Manager | None | Account Mgmt |
| Strategy | None | Strategy |
| Creative | Creative | None yet |
| Analytics | Analytics | Analytics |
| Other | None | None yet |
